Green is the new black. Or is it? From politicians to musicians to A-list actors, it seems that anyone and everyone with influence and a forum can voice their opinion on the subject of global warming and the depletion of fossil fuels. Generally, the consensus is that green is good. Scientists and sociologists alike have reached a consensus that global warming is a very real occurance and our natural resources are being depleted. However, there are is a minority of right-leaning politicians and lobbyists who refuse to acknowledge the importance of “going green” and instead are opting for the quick buck associated with “Big Oil.”

Today you will find more hybrid vehicles and conventinal vehicles designed to obtain maximum fuel efficiency on the road than any other time in history. However, despite the Obama administration’s “Cash for Clunkers” initiative geared to get wasteful, gas guzzling vehicles off the road, they are still being made to satisfy the overindulgent hunger that plagues many Americans with bulging pocketbooks.
